FBO Assistant General Manager

Objective:

The FBO Assistant General Manager's role is to deliver exceptional business results in a Company owned/managed FBO operation. This position is ideal for someone who thrives on business development and inspiring the FBO team to deliver the Million Air brand.

Responsibilities and Duties:

  • Develop a full understanding of the budget, process, and the P & L of the business.
  • Provide strong leadership and support to functional reports.
  • Improve the profitability of the business by championing and implementing operational excellence techniques, continuous improvement of processes, and verification metrics.
  • Business growth and development

  • Ensure department managers and other personnel have the resources including staff capacity, technology, and training they need to achieve their goals.

  • Responsible for Passenger Service and Ramp Operations ramp including into-plane
  • fueling and third party fueling, and ground handling.
  • Full accountability to the General Manager for Health & Safety issues, operational and financial performance
  • Planning resource allocation in each business unit to include staff planning in line with customer requirements and budget.
  • Routine liaison with customer representatives.
  • Liaison with internal and external customers and agencies.
  • Producing routine reports.
  • Supporting the development of the business units with accurate and timely project work.
  • Leading the station equipment planning cycle.
  • Ensuring compliance with all internal and external operational and administrative requirements.
  • Ensure the safe and secure operations, in accordance with the highest possible standards of health, safety, security and all government statutory requirements.
  • Provide leadership for employee relations through effective communications, including coaching, disciplinary and positive recognition
  • Mentor employees for promotional opportunities
  • Work closely with GM and HR department to provide effective training and development program
  • Hold supervisor/lead team accountable for timely and effectively handling of all employee related issues, focusing on improving performance and professional documentation
  • Responsible for ensuring compliance for the attendance reliability program
  • Track and follow-up on late employees, sick calls and no shows.
  • Ensure that all employees are properly uniformed and equipped with PPE requirements
  • Ensure that all damage and defects to ramp equipment used are reported.

Work Environment:

This position operates in a professional environment, which may include exposure to all types of weather conditions and direct contact with both moving and non-moving aircraft.

Physical Demands:

The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job, to include but not limited to:

  • Must be able to lift 50 pounds.
  • Possible exposure to hazardous noise levels, chemicals, fumes, and machinery
  • Outside work in all types of weather conditions
  • Stand to greet customers during verbal exchanges, walk throughout the facility to interact with customers.

Travel:

Travel is expected for this position to industry trade shows, sales opportunities, and new location start up as required.
